A one-day virtual workshop for everyone who builds digital products
Learn the Comprehensive Research & Design Process for Product Teams

It takes more than an idea and a design program to create incredible products.
That's where a true UX mentality comes in.
Who is the workshop for?
Designers
Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned veteran, Experioso will give you a new perspective on the end-to-end UX process, as well as socializing your findings and deliverables with your team.
Developers
From scenario outlining to usability testing—even if you never touch a design tool—there are still plenty of ways to participate in the process to make sure you and the entire engineering team are on the right track.
Product owners
Understanding the end-to-end process will give you a better idea of the relationship between users and designers, between designers and engineers, and between process and product.
Stakeholders
Whatever your role, interest or influence in the product creation cycle, you'll learn how to be more involved in the early stages of product research, strategy and testing, so you can more effectively advocate for your side of the business.
What others are saying
"During our workshop, we developed personas and testing scenarios that made it easy to think of a user’s perspective while implementing new functionality. By the end of the project we knew we were delivering something special focused on our users, a feeling that was reflected in great responses and even greater adoption."

Max Paprika is an interaction designer, user researcher, UX writer and team lead who's worked with product teams in tech, healthcare and education, from small startups to agencies to large corporations. He tries to focus just as much on making life easier for internal workers as end users, and absolutely loves a well-written scenario and an inclusive usability test session.
He's also a game designer and mentor, and spends most of his free time working on a handful of game tools and projects with teams around the world.

Welcome and Introductions

Discussing the UX process
After our introductions, the team will present the Experioso foundation diagram, describing each step of the process, before going over an example case study where the process has been used to design products and services truly suited to the needs of their users.
11:00
Stage 1: User Research
Research takes many forms—contextual inquiry, remote interviews, focus groups—but the end result should always be a list of user needs, goals, and concerns, and perhaps even a handful of user personas. We'll teach a couple methodologies, but more importantly, prepare you for the assets you'll need to start writing user scenarios with your team.

Stage 3: Prototyping

Stage 4: Usability Testing
In order to test your designs as efficiently as possible, the whole team will learn how usability tests are prepared, moderated, and used to validate design decisions which will be shared with engineers and other stakeholders.
16:00
Stage 5: Socialization
In the final step, you'll learn how to best present your research, designs and specs to the team in a way that includes them in the conversation. This stage goes beyond one-way handoffs to ensure that the socialization step is an ongoing discussion between the product team, engineering and stakeholders, including presentations, documentation, and other tools to help keep everyone on the same page until the final line of code is implemented.
This session is primarily geared toward designers, but the rest of the team will have feedback into the expected output of the designs. We'll focus on one or two tools, keeping in mind that everything we prototype will need to be tested in the next stage.

Workshops are often fine-tuned to meet each team's needs, but here's an example of how the schedule typically plays out.
An amazing yet often overlooked tool for visualizing the ideal experience from the user's point of view, scenarios will not only help your team walk through each of these bite-sized moments in time together, they'll also give you a great fallback if there's any concern about design decisions in the future.
This workshop has helped some incredible teams
become even more incredible!
